The Mission of Agate Encores Community Concerts is to present professional entertainment to the greater Moose Lake community.

Events

You have 3 ways to purchase tickets online.

Season Ticket $45 – Includes single admission to each of the four season concerts. (Four performances for the price of three)
Family Season Ticket $115 – Includes family admission to each of the four concerts for families of more than two living in the same household. This is your smartest option.
Single Performance Ticket $15 – Admits one to a specific concert.

Twin Ports Wind Orchestra’s mission is to provide a quality musical forum for musicians in the Twin Ports area and to perform exceptional concert band literature for the community. The ensemble provides its members, who are primarily local professional musicians and music educators, with an outlet for their love of artistic expression through music. Under the superb leadership of Dr. Mark Whitlock, Music Department Head and Director of Bands at the University of Minnesota Duluth, Twin Ports Wind Orchestra will play an engaging and appealing variety of music at the Agate Encores Community Concert’s season opener.

Dan Newton’s Cafe Accordion Orchestra (CAO) performs an eclectic mix full of French flare, Latin heat, and Bohemian attitude. The heart of the CAO repertoire is the romantic, gypsy-influenced valse-musette. The group complements the musettes with swing, ballads, tangos, cha-chas, rumbas, and cumbias to create a wonderfully varied show. They inject their music with good humor and expressive abandon. Their high level of musicianship and passion for performance makes them an entertaining concert act as well as a great dance band.

Ring of Kerry is a bursting-with-energy Irish music group that captures the hearts of listeners. The group takes its name from a beautiful craggy drive in southwestern County Kerry, Ireland. Its Celtic music, however, is played with a heart much closer to its American home. All five of its engaging musicians sing and play several instruments. From the thundering sound of the bodhran to the sparkle of the hammered dulcimer; from the lilt and rhythm of fiddle and guitar to the haunting wails of the flute and pennywhistles, the band has developed a blend that is animated, ruggedly beautiful and fun. Audiences always react with great enthusiasm!
